Rand Road Elementary Autism Awareness week

I must admit, I was very hesitant about Connor switching schools, and moving into a new AU2 (3rd -5th grade ) classroom. But, it's been a great school so far! I can't say enough how grateful I am for his teacher, and I know that he is doing so well because of her. April is Autism Awareness month & she put together activities at the school all week to promote awareness. She went to local business on her own time to get donations for food, balloons & supplies to host a breakfast for ALL of the teachers, and organized a mock "Autism Walk" where the entire school participated! After the walk, students released 60 balloons & signed an oversize puzzle - puzzle pieces are the symbol for Autism.
