off to 1st grade....

Here he is... my 1st grader...  Technically, he could be a second grader but we chose to delay starting kindergarten and 2 years later, it was the right decision.  Nowadays, it seems everyone is 'red-shirting" their 5 year old so those who start on time, seem to be the youngest.  I've read articles & heard arguments on both sides..  Bottom line is, do what's in your gut.  I have yet to meet a mom that regretting holding out their 5 year old before kindergarten.  I know that because he had that extra year, he had the confidence today to march into class- no fear, just excited!
