Every year I remember my dad watching the Little League World Series. As I sat in the bleachers last Saturday morning, I know that he would have loved Connor's new T-ball league. How can you not? It's such a happy & positive place, full of cheers & big smiles from the kids! There's even a second inning stretch- theres' only 4 innings. If there is one near your town, you must check it out!
It's not really new, it's through a national organiztion called The Miracle League , but it's new to us. It's a chance for children with Special Needs, physical or developmental, to participate in T-ball. In Cary, NC there is a special field for these games, and each kid is assigned a 'buddy.' It's amazing to see all of the kids that volunteer as buddies, as well as the adults that give up their Saturdays and volunteer to be Umpire, Announcer, Coaches, etc. Big thanks to all who help out!
