Special Olympics...

Connor is in his first year of elementary school in an Autism classroom, and they were able to participate in the county Special Olympics. It's not the same one you may see advertised, but it's scaled down for the school aged kids. As a high schooler, I volunteered with the Special Olympics at our school, not realizing that in the future I would be seeing it from the other side as a parent. So having been on both sides, I'm so grateful to the high schoolers that volunteer to help. If you have high school aged kids, or know of any, please encourage them to volunteer. It is so rewarding!

Here Connor is with his volunteer and getting his medal for participating...
